Tour Itinerary

Arrival and Exploration of Isha Yoga Center

09:00 AM: Pickup from your location in Coimbatore and drive to the Isha Yoga Center (approx. 1 hour).

10:00 AM: Arrive at the center and check into your accommodation (if booked). We begin our exploration by visiting the Linga Bhairavi temple.

11:00 AM: Experience the serene Dhyanalinga, a powerful meditative space. Spend time in silence and meditation.

01:00 PM: Enjoy a wholesome vegetarian lunch at the Isha Yoga Center's restaurant.

03:00 PM: Take a dip in the holy waters of the Surya Kund (for men) or Chandra Kund (for women).

05:00 PM: Visit the Adiyogi statue, a 112-feet tall statue of Lord Shiva. Witness the Adiyogi Divya Darshanam, a captivating light and sound show in the evening.

07:00 PM: After the show, have dinner and stay overnight at a nearby hotel or at the Isha Yoga Center cottages (subject to availability).

Yoga Session, Local Sightseeing and Departure

06:00 AM: Participate in a morning yoga or meditation session at the center (optional, subject to program availability).

08:00 AM: After breakfast, you have free time to explore the Isha Shoppe for crafts, books, and wellness products.

11:00 AM: Check out from the hotel. We can visit other nearby attractions like the Velliangiri Hills base or Kovai Kutralam waterfalls (depending on time and interest).

01:00 PM: After lunch, we begin our journey back to Coimbatore.

04:00 PM: You will be dropped off at your location in Coimbatore, concluding your spiritual retreat.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, visitors are advised to wear modest clothing that covers shoulders, upper arms, and legs. This is to maintain the sanctity of the spiritual spaces. Loose and comfortable clothing is recommended.

  • The Isha Yoga Center offers accommodation in their cottages, but this is subject to availability and needs to be booked well in advance, especially during festival times. We can assist with the booking process, or arrange for your stay in a comfortable hotel nearby.

  • Mobile phones must be switched off and deposited at a designated counter before entering the main complex. Photography is strictly prohibited inside the Dhyanalinga, Linga Bhairavi temple, and other meditative spaces. You can take photos around the Adiyogi statue area.

  • No prior experience in yoga is required to visit the Isha Yoga Center. It is open to all, regardless of their background or beliefs. The center is designed to be a space for inner exploration, and you can simply spend time in the serene environment or participate in the activities as you wish.

  • The Adiyogi Divya Darshanam, the light and sound show, usually takes place every evening. The timings can vary, so it's best to check the official Isha Foundation website or inquire at the center upon arrival for the exact schedule on the day of your visit.

  • Although our office is based in Sulur, we offer complimentary pickup and drop-off from anywhere in Coimbatore city. This includes all hotels, residential areas, Coimbatore International Airport, and both Coimbatore Junction and Podanur railway stations. Simply specify your preferred pickup location when booking, and our driver will meet you there at the scheduled time.
